Amie Blu Gives a Mixture of Sounds on Latest Single ‘pretty’

Amie Blu may only be fairly fresh to the music game, but the South East Londoner is certainly a breath of fresh air. Having started out in 2022, ‘pretty‘ is her second release of the year, having previously released two EPs. The singer is bringing an indie sound but with pop and R’n’B influences to create something that feels refreshing.
Her vocals have a slight rasp to them and over this chilled production fit nicely. The song is melancholic, reflecting on someone choosing a ‘pretty‘ girl over her and how she doesn’t blame them. It’s very much reflective of the insecurities we have inside us and the critiquing we do on a daily basis.
