BINA. Puts A Little Romance In Her New Single ‘Dark Cloud’
Only four months after releasing the quarantine video of ‘Boundaries’ on YouTube, BINA. is back and more romantic than ever. The singer/songwriter/producer and aesthetics expert (have you seen this girl’s Instagram?!) has received a warm reception in the R&B and Neo-Soul community, getting support from online music platforms such as Lyrical Lemonade and us, of course. Her new single ‘Dark Cloud’ has been available for pre-order for a while now and the following is a recollection of events that occurred after we took it for a spin.
While we were raving about ‘Boundaries’ and her EP Humble Abode, BINA. was back in the studio cooking up this experimental jazz number called ‘Dark Cloud’ – and let’s just say I almost broke quarantine curfew restrictions because of this song. Premiering on Jamz Supernova’s Radio 1Xtra show September 4th, ‘Dark Cloud’ is sure to make waves around the UK as BINA. is one of those artists who can never release a bad song.

Seducing the heck out of us with her buttery vocals, the south-east Londoner shows off her artistry and intent. Fans of Ama Lou, Erykah Badu, and NPR Tiny Desk concerts should definitely add BINA. to their playlist. Produced by Atlanta’s very own Thxnkq, ‘Dark Cloud’ – an expertly crafted masterpiece – is like one of those subtle statements that artists make before dropping a banger of an EP.
Earlier on in this article, we mentioned BINA.’s aesthetic prowess. That’s because she has the dopest IG feed (linked below) and has directed, shot, and edited the entire official music video for ‘Boundaries’. Her minimalistic make-up choices, braided brown hair, and expressive attire are gorgeous. Did I mention her SKIN is bangin’?!
Melanated music has never looked and sounded this good! Her journey through the music industry is only just beginning and if this is what consistency looks like, I’m taking notes. Keep your eyes on our official socials for more this beaut. The best is yet to come. You ready?
