From the moment the beat on Eric Ryan’s “8PM (Cuffing Szn)” begins we are transported to musical heaven. The alternative R&B performer immediately captivates his audience with his dreamy vocals and the addition of his equally talented Julles collaborator adds to the chilled ambiance of the track and leaves you wanting more.
The mesmerizing track appears on the Filipino Canadian singer’s brand new EP Dream State which was released on February 12th and originally debuted in November of last year.
“8 PM (Cuffing Szn)” has unsurprisingly resonated with music fans thanks to the heart and authenticity it evidently displays, with Popdust stating that it “finds the singer’s alluring voice as smooth as malleable as warm butter.”
The 24-year old who counts Boyz Men and Frank Ocean amongst his inspiration has revealed what he wants to accomplish in his music stating “I want my music to help people get through to whatever they’re going through.”
“At the end of the day, if I helped one person get through a sad time in their lives or they can attach themselves to a song in a loving way, that makes the experience for me,”
Eric Ryan’s talent is clear for us all to see and hear and with 2M+ streams to his name, it is incredible to see how much he has achieved before even dropping a full-length record. The music he has released so far is such a testament to his talent and the potential that he possesses. There is no doubt that the release of the anticipated Dream State EP will continue to showcase his unique talent and artistry, and will no doubt open him up to a brand new audience.
