IM: Hey Daphne it’s great to talk to you again. We are really excited about your new project! If you could sum up the writing process for this EP in three words what would they be?
DW: growth, vulnerability, positivity
IM: Interesting choice of words, what was your favourite song to record and why?
DW: I would say “Dopamine” because it’s the most challenging for me vocally and it’s also one of the more vulnerable songs for me.
IM: We will definitely keep an eye out for it! How does this EP differ to your previous music?
DW: The songs are much more open and honest than my previous releases. I really dug in on this one!
IM: How did you go about order the tracklist?
DW: I put my favorite 5 tracks in front, then made a sort of tempo arc with the last track being the most serene.
IM: With this project being so honest and open, what is the message you want the fans to get from the EP?
DW: That they aren’t alone; That opening up to your truths is the best way out of any situation you want to change.
IM: Which song are you most excited to perform live and Why?
DW: Haha there’s no way I can pick just one!
IM: okay fine, easier question. Are there any music videos we should be looking out for?
DW: The “Out Of The Black” lyric video is out and you can find it on my YouTube channel.
IM: Any final shoutouts?
DW: Thank you for listening!
