Ezra Collective is truly at the peak of its powers right now. The group is fresh off the success of their top 10 album, ‘Dance, No One’s Watching‘. They have started the year strong, finishing second in the BBC’s Sound of 2025 and winning a third MOBO Award for Best Jazz Act. Not only that, they are set for a big week, having been nominated for four BRIT Awards, including Best Album.
But, they have also given fans some new music. ‘Body Language‘ sees them team up with one of the hottest names in R’n’B, Sasha Keable. We picked her out as someone who is set to have a good year, and collaborating with the jazz quintet is as good a start as any. Sasha comes at the track with a melodic and energetic delivery, that matches the Latin-influenced sound. It feels perfect for a jazz club or even a beach in Rio or Santa Marta.
The track is a lot of fun and brings that usual energy that makes the Collective stand out. Meanwhile, Keable is having fun here, showing a different side to her vocals. Yet, she still sounds just as great here as on her more emotional numbers. She was up for a MOBO for Best R’n’B/Soul Act and is nominated for four awards at The State of R’n’B Awards. Following up on a successful 2024 including an iconic performance on COLORS, you can see why she was part of the Purple List.
We don’t know whether this is a stand-alone release, or maybe part of a deluxe album. What we can say is these two coming together was truly a special moment.
