Fall into me is what I like to refer to as a commercial tune. It’s catchy and appeals to the masses.
This song is very easy on the ears. It’s uptempo lighthearted and melodic; tied seamlessly together by simple guitar riffs and beautiful harmonies. Sprinkled with just the right amount of falsetto, the song ticked all my boxes with everything about it feeling so effortless.
Anders took to Facebook to give his fans the backstory to this stunning number:
Last year I was in a pretty negative headspace. I used to believe depression was something you could simply will yourself out of, so it was not something I was ready to admit. But in hindsight, the thought pattern I had acquired was not a healthy one. ‘Fall Into Me’ is very much inspired by the last year, and the person who played a part in pulling me out of it. I hope you love it, and I hope it might comfort anyone who is currently in the place I once was. Keep going forward.
So who is the artists behind this amazing song? His name is Anders!
Anders is what I like to call a creative enigma. Beginning on the piano at the age of 3, he quickly fell in love with all things music; but it wasn’t until he stumbled upon his fathers guitar at age 10 that he found his calling, and began writing and singing his own songs. He went on to receive a scholarship at John Curtin College of the Arts, studied audio engineering at SAE, and later a bachelor of jazz performance at the prestigious WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), all the while running his own music school.
I first came across him in 2014 when he released his single I wish (you were mine) and have been captivated ever since.
After spending some time further developing his production and songwriting skills, Anders is ready to release the next chapter.
If this song is a nod to what the rest of the album brings I cannot wait.
