Hope Tala Continues A Busy 2024 on ‘Jumping The Gun’

Hope Tala is a mesmerising voice in the worlds of R’n’B, soul, Bossa nova, and many other genres. She has been very productive this year, releasing four singles already, with a debut album due next year. ‘Jumping the Gun‘ is the fifth teaser, with her ethereal vocals floating nicely over the R’n’B instrumental.
The song looks into taking a leap for someone and how it leaves Tala with a mixture of feelings. This creates a catch-22 of feeling happy, yet simultaneously questioning whether this relationship is right. It makes for a relatable tune of doing something you wouldn’t normally do, and simultaneously, putting other stuff to the side.
The London singer has a very intriguing writing style, that I’m sure will make for interesting tales from the new LP. Having released music since 2018, this record has been a long time coming and will surely be worth the wait.
