This week the spotlight is on Singer Songwriter Chloey Rose who is based in Lincolnshire, England.

Drawing inspiration from Kate Bush and Ben Howard, Chloey Rose has been captivating audiences up and down the UK over the years.

With a number of accolades behind her such as widespread BBC exposure, winning the Open Mic Regional Finals, and performing at a selection of renowned venues across the UK, Chloey Rose now returns with her new single True Love.

Chloey Rose reminds me of the perfecrt blend of Lana Del Rey and BANKS. Having beautiful dainty high notes as well as a deep lower register and the ability to readily switch between the two, she is able to create this exquisite emotional presence with her music.

Her pristine vocal control makes her music sound so effortless.

True Love has a haunting poignancy to it. The stark contrast between the songs dark sad lyrics and her pure light vocals is so addictive.

This song easily could have made the Twilight, Teen Wolf or Riverdale soundtracks.

My only criticism is that the song ends rather abruptly. I can’t quite tell if this was done on purpose to leave you wanting more or not.

Either way, it is clear that Chloey Rose is an incredibly talented artist and I am excited to see what she does next!
