The second Act of the week is Indie Folk artist Meet George Brown from London, England.

Combining influences of Californian sunshine and the Laurel Canyon golden era of the 60’s and 70’s along with more contemporary  indie folk, Meet George Brown’s self titled debut EP soon became an ‘in demand’ project after it quickly blitzed its target on a crowdfunded website.
Having made a name for herself busking around London, Meet George Brown has since gone on to perform at a number of established venues and received a variety of airplay after the release of her EP.
Meet George Brown has previously been described as having songs that are anecdotal gems with one foot either side of the Atlantic. After listening to her new song ‘Paper hearts’ it’s easy to see why.

Her voice is most definitely reminiscent of America in the 60s, with the tracks musicality bringing the urban London edge. It’s this optimal balance of the old and the modern that makes her voice so unique and easy to listen to.

You can listen to ‘Paper Hearts’ HERE and let me know your thoughts in the comments.
