Jodie Marie - The Answer

Jodie Marie Returns With Long Awaited Album “The Answer”

Welsh Singer-Songwriter Jodie Marie makes a long awaited return to the scene with her third studio album The Answer.

This is the first project from the eloquent singer, featuring the track, titled the same, is a beautiful soulful rendition, with clear influences from 1950s/60s soul queens. Incorporated with tones and riffs comparable to Amy Winehouse and Duffy. She reflects on the inability to provide an answer to everything, but her gorgeous harmonies and production that is unalike anything in music right now, this is no problem.

The talented musician is what you would call a rarity in this industry as she’s not tied down to one particular genre. Jodie has a diverse musical style incorporating elements of Jazz, Blues, and Country.  Since bursting on the scene in 2010, Jodie has been dedicated to perfecting her craft and has received critical acclaim for her work on her first two albums Mountain Echo and Trouble In Mind

Inspired by the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, her love for music started at a young age from listening to her father perform in different bands. Jodie has been compared to the likes of Carole King and since bursting onto the scene in 2010, has received critical acclaim in her work. After nearly giving up with the music industry, she has described her therapeutical and her “comfort blanket.”

At a time where grassroots and independent artists being celebrated, this might be the time the performer can finally break through to the mainstream and reach wider audiences.

The title track of her upcoming album shows us what she’s all about, with a certain power, grit, and bluesy twang that will have you waiting to hear more.
