Jorja Smith Brings Something Fresh on New Single ‘GO GO GO’
Jorja Smith has released her new single ‘GO GO GO’ as a taster for what’s to come. It’s the third single from her long-awaited second album, ‘falling or flying’ which is set to be released on September 29th.
Alongside her previously released songs this year, ‘Little Things’ and ‘Try Me’ fans expect a different side to Jorja’s music. In comparison to her debut album ‘Lost & Found’ released in 2018, there are hints of a more alternative, indie sound.
Regarding this new sound, Jorja says, “I’m in my little alternative bag, but I’ve always kind of been in it. People might be like ‘I didn’t expect this’ but I’m like: ‘well, I would!’” This is why she fits so comfortably into the genre switch-up following her R’n’B and U.K. garage influences in her previous work.
The music video, directed by Amber Grace Johnson, follows Jorja around France, finding her way out of an untrustworthy relationship. Undoubtedly, it’s giving us a deeper look into what the rest of this album has in store.
