What musical magic happens when you mix Africa and Ibiza? The answer: KILIMANJARO. This house music hero is rapidly becoming the freshest face in the dance music genre. His newest single, the aptly named ‘Good S**t‘, is the perfect track to kick-start summer 2025. It’s teeming with all the ingredients of a radio-friendly dance hit but with an irresistible afro-house strut and swagger.
Josh Kilimanjaro is a Zambian DJ and musician who was raised in Scotland. His unique upbringing has gifted him an appreciation for dance music and culture, a genre intrinsically woven into Scotland’s music scene. However, his steadfast rootedness in his African heritage sees him ingeniously weaving in afro and amapiano sounds. This makes him stand out from his contemporaries and has prompted the co-sign of industry giants. From a viral Boiler Room appearance with Fred again.. to a recent Milan Fashion Week performance for Moncler – there’s no stopping this multi-hyphenate.

He pairs with London-based singer LEILAH on this track, another genre-blending newcomer. She’s curated some electrifying dance, alt pop, and R&B tunes and does so without ever feeling disingenuous to any community. Her multifaceted nature therefore makes her the perfect artist to carry a chorus, as she hops on whatever energy her collaborator lays down. LEILAH has a raw edge to her versatile style, but with such an ear-pleasing, sweet voice. In ‘Good S**t‘ she’s instructing us to get up and move our bodies to this unmistakably feel-good track.
KILIMANJARO took to social media to exclaim this single marks the start of a ‘good s**t summer’. Quite frankly, I fully believe him and I am ready for it. In true DJ fashion, this young man never seems to sleep. His prolific approach has him already prepping us with summer tunes despite recently dropping an EP in March. The EP ‘Makalelo’ (meaning ‘origins’) is aptly titled, as this does feel like the start of a significant new chapter for this artist. We can’t wait to see his inevitable rise, rooted in authenticity and cultural exploration.
