Kuk Seung Pyo has joined forces with Caleb Cruise on his brand new single “Why Do You.” The smooth R&B jam is the fourth single for the Korean performer and is based around personal relationships he has experienced.
Talking about the release in a statement, he said:
“As an artist who made a lot of heartbreaking songs, I wrote ‘Why Do You’ wanting to show a little different style of music to my fans. Although the overall process was not easy, I tried to stay positive all the time. I was also concerned because this is my first time collaborating with an American artist. But after listening to the final track, I am really excited and am looking forward to it.”
Originally starting out as a YouTube personality, the singer started making music in 2018 and has since collaborated with names as fellow K Pop star HOONIA. Fusing both English and Korean in his lyrics, Kuk Seung Pyo is an artist who likes to explore different sounds and should not be put in a box.
Caleb Cruise who featured on the track is an independent Oklahoma artist who has previously worked with BEAM and Aaron Cole to name but a few. He dropped his debut project Your Loss last year and averages 20 thousand Spotify players for a month.
This song is definitely one for the R&B lovers and the collaboration between both these one-of-a-kind artists is a recipe for success. The combination of both their dreamy vocals sounds like heaven to our ears.
2021 is definitely the year for more independent, underrepresented talent to flourish, We hope to bring more content from both of these artists to you soon.
