London Design Fair pre show thoughts

Having attended and thoroughly enjoyed the London Design Fair last year, I was ecstatic when this year’s official exhibition list went out.

What can you expect from IndustryMe?

  • Live instagram coverage
  • Interviews with some of the designers exhibiting on the day
  • A full event reveiw including some of my favourite picks

Naturally I have my eye on a few exhibitiors, so here are a few that I am hoping to speak to and who knows maybe even interview.

Extra&Ordinary Design –

We create things that turn the ordinary environment into the extraordinary.

We capture moments to grasp extraordinary sentiment through design.

REM Atelier

REM Atelier is a continuous, collaborative art and design project that started in 2015, created by artist Remty Elenga and designer Remco van Halderen

John Eadon –

A Fine Art graduate from Norwich School of Art and Design 2008, (now called Norwich University of the Arts), John Eadon has built on a background of farming, art and woodwork, as wide and varied as artist technician to shop-fitter and joiner, festival and theatre-set builder to specialist joinery for English Heritage and woodwork/3D technician at Norwich University of the Arts.

Returning to the base of the family farm in Warwickshire in 2013, John Eadon renovated parts of the house and farm buildings to provide a home for his family and a workshop to make from. The house and workshop make up part of a large courtyard of old brick and stone farm buildings, and are surrounded by fields and the rest of the busy working farm. 2016 saw a renewed interest and focus on furniture design for John, and the development of MIMA, the first collection from JOHN EADON, to launch at London Design Fair 2017.

Studio19

They featured on my top picks from last year’s show so I have huge expectations from the light designers.

Freddies Flowers

I was raised by florists; I practically grew up in my folks’ flower shop in Pimlico. So it’s also thanks to Mum & Dad that I said farewell to veg and bought a milk float, some cardboard boxes, a tent and lots of flowers.

Paxton Chocolate

Our chocolate is a complete sensory journey; beautiful pieces that attract the eye with rich colour, pattern and form. chocolate that exudes a wonderful aroma inviting you to bite in, with flavours that explode in your mouth, leaving you wanting more.

Make sure you are following us on Instagram to keep up with all the latest, see you all there in September!
