Don’t let the weather get you down as UK songbird Melica is turning up the heat with her brand new uplifting single “Better.” The upbeat track takes a positive stance on a failed relationship with the powerful lyrics including “It gets better than this, you’ll do better than this, I swear.”

Putting a different twist on the term Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned – the empowering and uplifting number is bound to be somewhat of an anthem for its female listeners.

The catchy R&B bop not only has a great message for its audience but also highlights Melica’s rich and mesmerising vocals which you just can’t help but fall in love with. “Better” was produced by South London producer Michelin Shin and follows up the previous release of “Don’t Say Sorry” which received support from big platforms such as BBC Introducing and names like BBC 1xtra’s DJ Ace.

Hailing from St Lucia, Melica’s Island roots give her primarily Pop & R&B sound a distinct flavour bringing something new and different to the burgeoning UK scene. Counting divas like Aaliyah, Whitney Houston, and Rihanna amongst her musical influences, she may be one herself for the next generation. Let’s watch this space.
