Last month marked the 30-year anniversary of Montell Jordan’s 90s classic ‘This Is How We Do It‘. His debut single from the album of the same name remains a club classic in the U.K. to this day. To celebrate this moment, Max Rae has come together with Jordan for a fresh take on the track.
Rae provides a new flavour with a dance-pop sound that will bring it to a new generation of clubbers. Her autotuned vocals provide the basis for a catchy reworking, that will have you wanting to get on the dancefloor. Jordan’s contribution also feels different, yet fitting, making this not just another remix.
In an age where reworks and sampling are very common in the dance/rave scene, this track leads a classic track to the modern world. While we can celebrate the iconic original, new and old fans alike can take something from Rae’s version of the song.
