Paramore are Back with ‘Burning Down The House’ Cover

Paramore featuring on A24’s Talking Heads album makes perfect sense to us.

With the brand-new release of A24‘s ‘Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute To Talking Heads Stop Making Sense‘ album, Paramore is currently the only artist to have released their rendition of a track. They kick it off perfectly with their cover of ‘Burning Down The House’.

For those who don’t know, ‘Stop Making Sense’ is the 1984 concert film of the widely celebrated Talking Heads. It consists of live performances of some of the band’s greatest tracks. However, now it is in the hands of a variety of other artists we know and love. Even so, Paramore is just one of the many that are getting involved in the anniversary project. Along with them are other names including Kevin Abstract, Miley Cyrus, The National, and Toro y Moi.

In addition, Paramore recently had fans scared the band would be no longer together. This is after a social media clear-out and pulling out of festival lineups. As a consequence, this came as more than a shock to fans when the teaser trailer dropped. The humorous clip sees Paramore lead Hayley Williams met with a package on her doorstep. Ultimately, that package contains a comically oversized grey suit, famously worn by David Byrne himself in the album’s original artwork.

As a result of seeing Hayley adorned in the suit, it is obvious this album will be one that not only honours the band but is overflowing with creativity. Undoubtedly, ‘Burning Down The House’ is one that only feels right to be re-made by the pop-punk band. There is no one better to take on the task of kicking off what is yet to come.

You can find Paramore on Instagram, X, and TikTok. You can read more pieces like this here and stream the track below.
