Rebecca Winter Returns With New Single “Selfish”
Rebecca Winter is set to make her return with a new single entitled Selfish. This will be first single release after her debut 5-track EP Rare, featuring a seamless blend of R&B and soul with Afrobeats as Winter expresses her frustration with a love interest for “doing her wrong”. Production by Sparbz and co-written by EfosaOfficial, “Selfish” gives fans another reason as to why she is set apart from her contemporaries.
Hailing from West London and of Nigerian descent, Rebecca Winter has been making music since she was 13 and looks up to the likes of Beyoncé for inspiration. Although her journey has not been as straightforward as she had hoped, she has demonstrated the importance of following your passion. Since deciding to solely pursue her music career instead of continuing to work at a law firm, her lists of achievements have been getting longer and longer.
Previous singles like Vibe, Farabale, and Pree Me display Winter’s versatility and range, with each song providing a different vibe that combines with her unique sound to make her an artist to watch out for. The release of her EP Rare propelled the Afro-fusion singer into the UK spotlight, a short and sweet project that gave listeners a preview of the talent Rebecca Winter is capable of.
She went on to win the ‘Best Female Artist’ award at the Legacy Awards 2019, and also opened up on some of Burna Boy’s African Giant Tour dates which led her to gain a larger audience.
“Selfish” sets a very promising tone that Rebecca Winter will no doubt live up to this year, and she continues to expand her ever-growing fanbase with a sound that is as sultry as it is addictive.
