State of R’n’B Awards Announce Latest Nominees for 2025

Rhythm In Britain has announced the nominees for The State of R’n’B Awards. The show will take place on the 30th of March 2025, and if it’s anything like last year, it’s set to be a good show. While there will be great performances, there are also awards to be handed out and it has been a great year for U.K. R’n’B.
Taking the most nominations is kwn, who’s had a breakout year and is nominated in 5 categories. Just behind her are Shaé Universe, Sasha Keable, Jaz Karis, and Purple List 2024 member, Äyanna with 4 nominations. These girls have all had stellar years and it will make for very competitive categories. In particular, all 5 artists are present in Collab of the Year and the Best Female category.
Other artists who have had a stellar year include Odeal, Sampha, Samm Henshaw, Nippa, and Elmiene. They have the most nominations of the boys with 3, making the Best Male award highly contested. Meanwhile, Ama Louise, Asha Elia, Sinéad Harnett, Nia Smith, Tyler Lewis, Blue Lab Beats, Mnelia, FLO, and Essasa also have multiple nominations. We must also shout out another Purple List 2024 alumni, as Say Now has been nominated for Group of the Year.
Overall, I think it is fair to say the state of R’n’B is pretty great in the U.K. right now. We can’t wait to see who wins what in March.
