Whether it’s the whole family gathered together in front of your Panasonic HD television* or you’re snuggled up in Bed with your Laptop, these next 5 films are sure to get you in mood for the holiday season

1. The Christmas Chronicles

A clean family friendly comedy that is bound to leave you in stitches. The film, which was rated 7.5/10 follows mischievous siblings Kate and Teddy and their plan to capture Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. But alas, nothing ever quite goes to plan. Will they save Christmas before it’s too late? Watch and find out for yourself.

2. The Holiday CalendarHoliday calendar Netflix Christmas film recommendations

It appears that love is in the air in this holiday romance. Skilled but struggling photographer Abby Sutton, is given an antique holiday advent calendar, which seemingly has the ability to predict the future. Will a blossoming love story be on the card this holiday? You will undoubtedly be rooting for her! Oh Ladies did I mention Quincy Brown is the leading man. Thank me later

3. Almost Christmas

David E. Talbert, Gabrielle Union, Mo'Nique, Danny Glover, J. B. Smoove, And more in almost Christmas recommend on Netflix films to watch this holiday season

Now this is what I call Christmas. This film very much feels like spending the weekend with extended family. All those aunties that say mildly inappropriate things that you laugh off and that uncle that enjoys whiskey a little too much. Can you picture it yet? Though the film only received 6.1/10 it is perhaps my favourite film on the list, if not purely for the sense of familiarity it brings.

4. Nativity David Tennant, Marc Wootton, Joanna Page, Jessica Hynes, Pam Ferris, And more in nativity 2 on the Netflix recommend films for this holiday season

  • Now this is an oldie but a goodie. Another family favourite the Nativity 2, originally released in 2012 follows the story of teacher doing the very best to help a body of underachieving students. What could possibly go wrong?

5. The Princess SwitchThe Princess Switch on Netflix recommended films for this holiday season

Finally in at number 5 is The Princess Switch. It’s nice to see Vanessa Hudgens outside of the confines of her High School Musical role. The film, which is very much a modern take on the Prince and the Pauper with a dash of girl power is an adaptation of the screenplay by Robin Bernheim and Megan Metzger.
