TS Graye has gone on a journey since her days of making trip-hop/trap-inspired tunes in 2018. With ‘Someone Else‘ she is in the moody alternative R’n’B lane, which like her previous music, has attention-grabbing production. In particular, the bass and the switch from the melancholic sounds to the chorus do a good job of keeping your attention.
Her vocal presence fits the beat nicely as she states she has moved on to the aforementioned ‘Someone Else‘. This tale contains a hint of sadness, but also of hope that this new person will fulfill her desire for love. In that respect, this track feels like a double-edged sword, but it is a great listen nevertheless.
