First Listen Fridays (3/4/2026) – Ravyn Lenae, flowerovlove, corto.alto, and More New Music

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

First Listen Fridays is back again, featuring a splendid selection of fresh singles. This week, Editors Tom and Kloe had their work cut out for them, trimming it down to a top ten. Tom has decided Ravyn Lenae and Disclosure are worth your time this weekend, whilst Kloe is impressed with what flowerovlove has brought to the table. Let’s get right into it.

Tom’s Picks

Ravyn Lenae FT. Dominic FikeReputation

After a breakthrough in 2025 thanks to the huge success of ‘Love Me Not‘, Ravyn Lenae is looking ahead to her next chapter. A collaboration with Dominic Fike, who is having some viral success of his own right now, makes perfect sense and sounds just as good. This grungy alt-pop vibe fits nicely alongside her breathy, melancholic vocals, with Fike making this a good back-and-forth. I smell another hit for these two artists.

corto.alto FT. Mick JenkinsWHODIS

We’ve already highlighted ‘APRIL‘ late last year, and this artist continues to deliver the goods whenever he drops. This time, he teams up with Chicago’s Mick Jenkins for a smooth and wavey cut that highlights the versatility of its lead. Jenkins’ flows over the beat as nicely as he usually does, but I love the development of the beat, adding in more orchestral elements on the second half. A short, but sweet number that has me excited for the new corto.alto record that awaits.

Dapz on the Map FT. Trappy SelfSuccessCut My Own Keys

Two skilled rappers from the second city on the same track is always going to get my attention. This bassy instrumental immediately has you hooked, before the fast-paced verse and catchy bars from Dapz hit you. Trappy is equally meeting the criteria for an earworm of a banger, with both going back-to-back seamlessly. Hopefully, more collaborations from this duo are on the cards.

DisclosureThe Sun Comes Up Tremendous

Disclosure always comes through with a few bangers every year, and this one seems primed for the summer months. A bit more on the mellower side and with Howard Lawrence on vocals, this is more sitting by the poolside than raving through the night. However, the bouncy keyboard melody and more orchestral elements are a lovely touch. Some terrific musicality on display, and then on the second half, that drop and erratic synths will get you grooving. Another example of why whenever these two drop, I am seated.

Malix & p-rallelTouch

Having never heard of this up-and-coming duo, but being a fan of p-rallel, I decided to check this out and was not disappointed. The drums and bounce this song provides is perfect for the dancefloor. This has an old-school feel, but still has a groove and freshness to it that makes it stand out. I’ll have to check out more from Malix, but if you’re looking for something to get you ready for the weekend, stick this on.

Kloe’s Picks

flowerovlove American Wedding

Ahead of her first-ever Coachella performance, 21-year-old pop powerhouse flowerovlove has dropped a new single. Addictive, fun pop at its best, taking notes from the likes of Olivia Rodrigo and Halsey, whom she has been an opening act for. This playful track will sound amazing live and inject some joy into your weekend playlist.

SekouDangerous Lover

Have you ever heard a song so catchy that it’s stuck in your head the moment you hear it? Well, let me present this single to you. The Leicestershire singer-songwriter is known for his soulful voice, emotional delivery, and blend of R&B, pop, and contemporary soul. With a killer hook that makes you want to get your two-step on, Sekou has stepped his game up with this radio-friendly jam.

Manny Norté FT. ÄyannaCan We Make It Real?

Manny Norté, the name you can trust, has put out an early-summer anthem. Whilst it might be a bit early to head to the beach right now, this song is a scorcher. ‘Can We Make It Real?‘ offers a laid-back, sultry sound with the distinct breathy vocals of R&B songstress Äyanna. It’s irresistibly sexy and cool.

SophizRed Lipstick

I discovered Sophiz today, and I’m really glad I did! Another artist for London to be proud of, she is a fresh slice of alt-soul and pop that is sure to be a rising star. Whilst we all know a bit of lipstick makes you feel miles better (I feel that way anyway), Sophiz brings this to life in this track. Her electronic, distorted sounds on this record make it sound like lightning in a bottle.

Bebe RexhaHysteria

People need to stop sleeping on Bebe Rexha’s voice, because it is something to be admired. After causing a ruckus on social by posting her twerking to the song on a Miami balcony, this is her first step out being fully independent. It’s chaotic, BRAT-era music that is hedonistic and club-ready. Her visual album ‘Dirty Blonde‘ is on its way, and I am more than ready for that.
