First Listen Fridays – New Music to Know – 12th December 2025

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
|
For the final time, First Listen Fridays is here to bring some fresh new music to your weekend. IndustryMe editors Tom and Kloe have been bringing you great music all year long, and this week is no different. Whether you’re excited for new Nas and DJ Premier, Sasha Keable, or J Hus, we’ve got you covered. One last time, let us get into the music.
Tom’s Picks
J Hus FT. Skepta – Outside
New music from J Hus is never a bad way to end the year, especially when you see he is teaming up with Skepta. ‘Outside‘ is part of his new EP, ‘Half Clip‘, bringing a bouncy production courtesy of JAE5. The Hustler provides a sleek flow over this Afro-fusion sound, and Skeppy does the exact same. This feels like a return to what made this artist stand out: cold vocal delivery, vibrant beats, and confidence galore.
Together For Palestine – Lullaby
Bringing together some top-tier artists to help bring some spotlight to one of the most devastating situations in the world right now, this ‘Lullaby‘ is very poignant. Each artist delivers on the solo fronts, while the harmonies truly are great. The instrumental is straight-to-the-point, allowing all the vocalists to showcase their range. Truly a collaboration that meets the moment.

Wretch 32 and Avelino – More Fire More Flamez
The dynamic duo is back as they celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the beloved mixtape, ‘Young Fire, Old Flame‘. Released as part of the deluxe, these two go back-to-back as nicely as they did back then, over a beat which the drums give a real oomph. The bars are hitting here as they reflect on what has been happening and the difficulties they’ve had. Hearing these two back together is music to my ears.
Jaz Karis FT. 3ee and Joyce Wrice – Is It Alright?
After another year of consistently good music, Jaz Karis is concluding 2025 with a remix. ‘Alright‘ was already great with its funky production and the confident and bright delivery from its lead. 3ee’s addition, alongside the feature of Joyce Wrice, gives this track three top-class performances. We hope to hear more from this artist in 2026, but this will keep us going till then.
Say Now – White Christmas
And for my last pick of the year, we have some new Xmas music from one of the hottest girl groups right now. Say Now are once again providing the harmonies over this Christmas classic, delivered with a bit more vibrancy than Bing Crosby. The production also fits the fun factor courtesy of Jono McNeil and Patch Boshell. When you do a classic, take this trio’s advice and put your own spin on it.
Kloe’s Picks
FLO – Recently Deleted
The girl group we know and love, FLO, are back with bonus tracks from their album ‘AAA‘ today. The song I’d recommend is ‘Recently Deleted‘, a delicious slice of R&B with harmonies from heaven. On the track, the trio are celebrating living rent free in their exes head (and recently deleted folder). Frankly, this song is living rent free in my head and one you must check out.

Nas and DJ Premier – NY State Of Mind Pt. 3
I couldn’t let this weeks picks go by without mentioning the album I’ve been waiting on. Premo and Nas have linked up again for a full project that has my heart already, and I haven’t even listened to the full project. These two OG’s are not slowing down, and they’re showing there is no age limit on spectacular artistry.
Conway the Machine FT. Roc Marciano – Diamonds
If you need a confidence boost, just listen to Conway the Machine. His inspiring storytelling is at its peak on his new record, ‘You Can’t Kill God With Bullets‘, which dropped today. The top track I’ve been playing is ‘Diamonds‘ with another mastermind lyricist Roc Marciano. It’s grimy, it’s gritty, it’s Griselda.
Sasha Keable – TAI CHI
Many artists off our Purple List have had big moments this year, but can any compare to Sasha Keable? Today she continues her run of stellar songs with the new release, ‘TAI CHI‘. This song is sexy, flirtatious, and a little dangerous. Perfect to warm up your winter.

Kidwild – Forgive Me
Kidwild is a rising British drill rapper and is now making waves with a powerful track bearing his emotions on wax. Talking about struggle, guilt, and grief, I was moved by his honesty. Take note, he’s definitely one to watch.
