First Listen Fridays – New Music to Know – 20th November 2025

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Welcome back to First Listen Fridays! Every week, IndustryMe Editors Tom and Kloe compile a list of ten top tracks that have just dropped today that they’re loving. Put simply, every track on this list deserves to be played at full volume. This week, join us as we dive into new music from Sabri, Tems, and Winny. No matter what your vibe is this weekend, we have something for you. We hope you love these tracks as much as we do.

Tom’s Picks

Fred again.., Sammy Virji, and WinnyWinny

We’ve covered a lot of Fred again.. this year, and I certainly loved his and Sammy’s previous collab, ‘Talk of the Town‘. But now he has teamed up with one of our Purple List picks, Winny, to remix several of her tracks together, including ‘Lego‘. That pounding synth that comes in immediately grabs your attention, while the layering of her vocals and the drum beat has me hooked. The bass comes in and next to this singer’s captivating delivery will have you swaying on the dancefloor. Halfway through, we get some garagey kick drums, and this track just keeps building on itself. A non-stop tour-de-force that keeps you on your toes throughout, the ravers will be skanking away to this one.

Sophia ThakurAffirmations, I’ll Be Okay

Someone who has received praise from Vogue, Forbes, and others, Sophia Thakur certainly has a lot of prestige. Her second single release of the year, the melodic, plucked guitar soothes you in, leaving a feeling of pleasantness. Thakur’s delivery feels very unique with her hoarse vocals delivering each word with a sense of purpose. This artist’s poetry has impact and shows a person who is very aware of who they are and is proud of that. Whether speaking or singing, this is a talented artist whom I am eager to hear more from.

TemsBig Daddy

Well, we have a new project from Tems, and I am excited to delve into it. ‘Big Daddy‘ kicks off with a bouncy beat that matches the confident vocals of its lead. This singer also delivers her sensational vocals on every track, but there is a real impact from this tale of taking charge. A fun track that shows off everything this artist does so well, it seems we’re onto a winner with this EP.

Yussef Dayes FT. Minami KizukiAmani

Ever since I first listened to this jazz drummer, I have always been excited for every new release. His first single of the year sees Dayes team up with Japanese folk and pop singer, Minami Kizuki. Her echoing vocals truly reach the peaks of the higher range and fit well alongside the plucked banjo and tranquil sounds. There are so many instruments on display here, showcasing Yussef’s creativity as an artist. This man continues to push jazz to new places (Mount Fuji, for the record, this song is from), making every song of his a fresh and exciting listen.

TsatsamisSecret Boyfriend

Another Purple List 2025 alumni, Tsatsamis knows how to blend pop and dance music. That thumping drum beat and his catchy vocals are perfect for a track to fill the dancefloor. The tale of a relationship that feels doomed is delivered so well over this self-produced beat, providing emotion and danceability. A great piece of dance-pop with emotiveness that Robyn would be proud of. Add this to your playlist.

SABRISold Myself For Love

Today, remarkable Dutch singer-songwriter SABRI has dropped her new EP, ‘What I Feel Now‘. I had already fallen in love with her commanding voice and candid songwriting on her track ‘Make Me Feel‘, and this 6-track spectacle delivers more good listening. My new fave is ‘Sold Myself For Love‘, a track exploring loss of identity through difficult relationships. This record will relate to anyone going through a rough patch in their love life. However I’d recommend the entire project if you’d like to embark on an emotional rollercoaster. Check out her COLORS performance of this track too, it will blow you away.

Lancey FouxDAYTONA

The unstoppable Lancey Foux is back with a track off his highly anticipated forthcoming album, ‘The Time Of Our Lives‘. Continuing his trademark style, this UK underground king brings a single full of raw unfiltered energy with house-driven grooves and bass-heavy beat. This is another contagiously euphoric single from the Startford star, as he finds his footing with bold sounds and genre fusion. If you love a bit of rap, trap, or drill with a twist, this rising star should be on your radar.

Myles LloydGrapevine

Want to hear what the future of R&B sounds like? Take a listen to Myles Lloyd. This Canadian vocalist roots himself in classic soul which gives his tracks a nostalgic tinge, whilst employing melodies that feel really current. His new album, ‘I’m Still Thinking’, is a raw, reflective, and truly compelling record that I can’t wait to dive further into. On first listen, I’m loving ‘Grapevine’, a confident, humble-brag type song that has killer production that will keep your head nodding.

Solomon Fox FT. Samm HenshawJustify

Soulful genre-fusing musician, Solomon Fox, has paired up with one of my favourite artists of the moment, Samm Henshaw, for a track from his deluxe album, ‘Sweetteeth’. This song paints a picture of that moment when you are bedazzled by a new crush. With lyrics like, “You look too good tonight for me to bite my tongue.“, this is a swoon-worthy track that will set the mood for your weekend.

Ruth B.Storm

Ruth B. is entering her new era with a fresh new single, ‘Storm’. This multi-platinum artist has delivered a liberating track that I can’t stop replaying. Her piano playing adds a timelessness to a track that captures that moment you come into full bloom, find yourself, and root yourself after the pain you’ve survived. This cinematic release is a great addition to your playlist.
